Picture
Supported living is a CQC registered service designed to help people with a wide range of support needs retain their independence by being supported in their own home. Residents in supported living have their own tenancy and are responsible for their own bills and cost of living.

Our supported living facilities provide people with greater choice over various aspects of their lives. Residents also have access to various leisure facilities, places of entertainment and local amenities.

This is what CQC commented in their report :
“People's choices, views and privacy were respected by the service. Staff were kind and involved people in decisions about their care and provided people with emotional support.
People's well-being and their relationships with those important to them were supported”

A wide range of activities take place in our own facilities

and within the local community. Each is designed to support personal skills development, the building of social skills and confidence, as well as developing independence.
Activities include creative and expressive art sessions, leisure and sports fitness, horticultural activities, life-skills building, sensory activities and health and well-being. Each activity is designed with the flexibility to allow for choice and to suit every ability.

Activity Sessions on offer include:
  • Sensory activities
  • Emotional support and motivation
  • Infection control
  • Budgeting and life skills
  • Accessing work and education opportunities
  • Social and leisure activities
  • Community outings
  • Living skills
  • Health and wellbeing through sports, games, music and movement

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Picture
The aim of the community outreach is to provide a range of support to help individuals with a learning disability to access the community. At the same time, we work towards supporting individuals to achieve short- and longer-term goals. Support is structured and covers various life skills, including:
• managing health and well-being
• accessing work or training opportunities
• accessing local community groups
Whether someone requires a few hours of outreach support each week or an intensive period to work towards a specific objective, our experienced staff will support people to achieve their goals. As the members we support develop their skills, we adapt our services to meet their changing ambitions.

We will work with you to develop a ‘person-centred plan’
that will look in more detail as to what you would like to achieve. We then create an activity plan which provides details of what support you may benefit from and when the best time is to work with you. All outreach activities are focused on achieving positive outcomes for people. We work together to design and deliver support that promotes greater independence, confidence, and self-esteem.
The important thing to remember when we are working with you on what you want to achieve is that we work to your schedule, not ours.
