TRANSPORT

Picture
At Seva Independent school, we understand how stressful things can be for our families. So, to help alleviate some of this stress we provide our own dedicated transport buses.

As well as providing home to school transport, this service helps young people with SEMH needs and disabilities to enjoy full and varied lives, and take part in after-school activities, sports clubs and school trips. Our transport is a vital part of our service to our young people.  We are dedicated in helping our pupils meet their academic and vocational needs, providing this vital resource to transport pupils between our different Hubs.

Seva Transport has a fleet of 16-seater minibuses that provides efficient transport to our pupils with a dedicated transport team.

Our drivers and passenger assistance are fully trained to meets the transport needs of our pupils. They receive comprehensive training including, but not limited to, Safeguarding, First Aid, MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme), PATS (Passenger Assistant Training Scheme), Understanding Autism and Epilepsy Awareness and Mental Health Awareness.

Our transport team have been described as friendly, kind, patient and attentive. Parents like the fact that they go out of their way to get to know the pupils, greeting everyone by their name and adding a special personalised touch to the service.

Our pupils enjoy their time on our buses and look forward to them, at the beginning and end of each school day.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to finding the best solution for the provision of school transport that meets Government COVID19 guidelines and all health and safety requirements.

We have added additional buses, so fewer pupils are travelling on any individual bus at any one time. Our drivers and Passenger Assistance remain on the same bus and do not change throughout the day.  The buses are equipped with hand sanitiser, masks, gloves, disinfectant wipes, and plastic tie bags. Our buses are cleaned after each journey and given a deep clean at the end of each day.
